La sífilis puede causar anomalías e incluso la muerte en recién nacidos. Las autoridades sanitarias dicen que el número de casos de sífilis congénita está en aumento, llegando a la cifra más alta que Estados Unidos ha visto en décadas. Esta semana el Grupo de Trabajo de Servicios Preventivos de Estados Unidos, un grupo de expertos en prevención de enfermedades y medicina basada en evidencia, emitió recomendaciones para reducir esos números. En el Minuto de Salud, le hablamos de estas nuevas directrices y de cómo la detección temprana puede salvar vidas.
